Hello lovelies! Today I am going to do a review on the much hyped BH Cosmetics Shaaanxo Palette 18 Color Eyeshadow and Lipstick Palette. Now if you guys don’t know who is Shaaanxo is, her real name is Shannon Harris and she is a well-known youtuber and beauty influencer from New Zealand. I personally adore her because she is simply genuine and fun and I really like her accent. I just love watching her videos especially her chit chat GRWM videos and her daily vlogs.

She recently collaborates with BH Cosmetics and came out with this product on April this year. And I managed to get my hands on this palette last month. I got mine for RM 80.00 from by.shala on IG who was doing a preorder from BH Cosmetics and she got very reasonable price. Most sellers were selling much higher price than her around RM 90-RM 120 and that is ridiculous considering how affordable the palette is. It took roughly around 3 weeks for the palette to reach me and I am very satisfied with the seller’s service. My palette alongside with other BH Cosmetics products (brushes) were securely wrapped in a box padded with foam and bubble wrap. Such a great service with affordable price. Truly recommend her and if you are from Malaysia and want to buy makeups from the US do check her Instagram because she constantly doing preorders.

REVIEW

First of all I really like the size of this palette, it is not too big and not too small. Quite handy and good for travelling. I am a palette kinda girl, although I love loose eye shadow pans but palettes have a special place in my heart especially the ones which has everything in one palette like a good transition shade, highlight shade, brow shade and a dark or black shade. And this palette has almost everything in it.

The colour selections for the eye shadow shades are too gorgeous! I would say that they have good mixture of warm and cool tones shades. They are buttery soft and blend beautifully on the lid. I especially love the transitions shade on the middle row which is the terracotta brown shade kinda reminds me of the Makeupgeek’s Cocoa Bear which I love. The middle shade on the bottom row is to die for. It is a duo chrome shade and really looks pretty on top of any cream base shade whether it is dark or light cream base. I really really love this particular one. This palette also has a pretty decent light matte and highlight shade on the top row which can be used as an overall lid colour, for the inner corner and brow bone and also for face highlighting. The bottom right shade is very good to smoke out an eye look or even lining the eyes. It is somehow a dark grey brownish taupe shade. This shade however is a bit powdery but I didn’t find it to have fallout when applied to the eye.

On the lipstick side, to be honest I am not a fan of a lipstick on a palette/pan. The thought of it on needing to use a lip brush to apply them make me kinda mehhh.. But these lipsticks are good actually. They are really hydrating and easy to apply. They are not matte and doesn’t last all day. The colours are opaque but I find that all three shades on the middle column are quite sheer however. There are a good mixture of nudes, reds, purples and orange shade. My favourite is the nudes and the dark vampy shade on the bottom right. These lipsticks are a great addition to the palette itself.

Overall I am very pleased with this palette and love how it has all in one palette. A purse friendly palette for easy touch ups if I were to be out and about all day until night. I don’t like to pack much on makeups when I travel and I think this palette is great to travel with. Plus the quality of the packaging is over the top and the shades selections are great and I think Shannon and BH Cosmetics has done a very good job on this palette. And I like the fact that she works with a company that produces affordable makeup products and that is a big thumbs up because not everybody can afford highly priced makeups especially when a company does collaborations with makeup artists or celebrities.

Oh by the way, this palette is cruelty free and made in PRC ;) I don’t really mind where products are made from because even high end brands like Tarte, Stila, Sigma etc have had some of their products made in China. It is all for cost related reason. But as long as I didn’t have any allergic reaction to it then it is okay with me.
