Exfoliating not only removes
traces of makeup and dead skin cells but it also fights the signs of aging,
achieve a radiant looking skin, eliminate dry rough skin, even out skin tone
and even more. Apart from using scrub cleanser and cleansing brushes, AHA and
BHA exfoliants are also used due to their gentler and non-abrasive way of
exfoliation. If you are new to the AHA BHA exfoliation then you should check
out Paula’s Choice detail explanation on AHA and BHA exfoliants and the
difference between them, and how and when to use them here.

REVIEW
The liquid itself is a clear with
a thick consistency but still light enough that it is runny once pumped onto
the skin. It feels just a bit thick but not sticky on my combination oily type
skin. I find that I need to use tapping motion for it to fully absorb into the
skin. The correct way to use exfoliant is after cleansing and before toner
because you really want it to absorb first deep into the skin before applying
any other skincare on top. Then I will usually wait for about 10-15 minutes
before applying my next skincare routine that is toner, serum, face mask and
the moisturiser. It is quite hydrating when applied onto the skin.
Just like scrubs and cleansing
brush, you will only need to use AHA or BHA exfoliants only 2 or 3 times a week
depending on your skin type and condition. I usually apply this on my night
skincare routine and when I am using this product I make sure that I do not use
other exfoliating products like my Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop that
contains vitamin c because you do not want to over exfoliate or else you will
irritate you skin. Products that contain exfoliants are best used during the
night, but if you were to use it during the day just make sure to slap on some
sunblock to help protect the skin from the damaging sunlight.
I do not need much of this
product to cover my entire face or my T-zone, I just used less than a
pump on every usage. Look at how much I got left after about 6 months of usage. I still have a
lot!
All I can say after using this
product for about 6 months now that it is just an okay product. I see no
remarkable difference on my skin. Maybe just a slight decrease on my blackheads
but it did not totally get rid of them. I like that it brightens the skin the
next morning when I woke up. I also like that in the morning after I apply it the
night before, I can see that the blackheads kinda popping out abit ( I know..
weird right?) then I quickly put on a nose strip to get them out. And because
of its thick consistency, I think it is good for those who have a normal or dry
skin type because of its hydrating effect. It is mild enough for the sensitive
skin too as I do not experience any breakouts or irritation while using it.
Should I repurchace? Hmm probably
not for a long time. Still got a lot of it left.
Xoxo
